Hi and welcome to the “Baby Steps” Family! We’re so glad you’re here!!
I’m Nellie. And for me, it’s always been about BABIES and LITTLE KIDS. My whole life, it seems!! Even as early as Grade School…when all the other children my age were playing kickball and comparing lunch boxes…I was helping the Kindergarteners with their finger paints.
In my teens, I got the nickname “Baby Magnet” because if there was a baby or toddler within a five block radius, they would find me. They’d gather around me like I was feeding ducks and we’d all have a blast playing whatever imaginary game we could conjure up together on the spot.

A few chapters later, I was blessed to have two bouncing baby boys of my own. Being a Mom for real was the light of my life and the little family my hubby and I built with our two boys was a dream come true. Our boys are all grown up now and have both become incredible young men. My husband and I couldn’t be prouder.
But even as I raised my own Kiddos and adored my life as a wife and mother…the power of that “Baby Magnet” never lost its pull. The call to help other parents and their little ones was too strong for me to ignore…so I answered that call and never looked back.
At this point, I’ve been working with kids and their families for over 25 Years now…serving as a Doula, a Nanny, a Para and a Teacher…and I absolutely love what I do.
I’ve learned that Kids don’t come with instructions. And even though each one is different and may have their own, very different needs…there are more similarities than we might think. There are Tools that we can put into our Tool Kit that can help make this Parenting Adventure a smoother, safer, more enjoyable ride for both you and your Kiddo.
So, that’s my new calling. Our mission here at “Baby Steps” is to help facilitate strong, loving families…so you can raise your Kids to become amazing human beings…people you will be proud to call your friends.
I’m honored to be a part of your Parenting Adventure. Now grab your Tool Kit and let’s get ready to grow!!
If I couldn’t get my Mom, I called Nellie.
“If I couldn’t get my Mom, I called Nellie. If I had a panic moment, I called Nellie. She will always hold a special place in my heart for being the one who was always there to help with my son…or with essential oils for the cold I couldn’t take meds for…or letting me hang on her inversion table because I couldn’t walk with back pain. It’s a million little things and they helped shape the early years of being a Mama for There is a Nellie shaped imprint on my heart!!” - Nicole M.
